As you may recall, in 2017 it was announced that Square Enix – Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montréal – and Marvel had formed an alliance and that several titles would be developed as a product of it. Among them would be the game of The Avengers. We are now just over 2 years from that announcement, but fortunately today came to light information that gives a clue that the game could reach new generation consoles.
According to a vacancy list of Crystal Dynamics, the company is looking for an external producer and lets see that the position to occupy is for the development of a next-generation game. Some of the tasks of the individual would be “working with external partners to prepare launching of next generation games”, and one of the requirements is to have “an excellent relationship with Microsoft and Sony, with technical certifications”.
It was at the beginning of 2017 when Marvel shared a video in which he promotes The Avengers Project and assures us that we would have more news about him in 2018. However, the year passed and little has been revealed about him.
Remember that this year Avengers: Endgame is released, so it is not strange that a game accompanies the film at the same time or a few months after launch, taking into account that the game should have good development time by announcing 2 years ago . This also fits with the next end of the generational cycle, which could mean that the game comes out for consoles of current generation as for future ones. Or it may be that it is another company title. It only remains to wait.
And you, what do you think about it? Do you think it’s the new Avengers game? Tell us in the comments.
In related information, although not from The Avengers, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a game of Marvel superheroes that is in development exclusively for the Nintendo Switch (in charge of Team Ninja) and is expected to debut the next summer.
